Provide Transparent Government and Responsive Constituent Services
Throughout my career, I have prioritized transparency and open communication with the communities I serve. From my role in Reading—where I was the first point of contact for residents and worked to ensure that they were informed and connected to the right resources—to my time with the Commonwealth's Executive Office for Administration and Finance, where I helped all 351 municipalities navigate emergency COVID-19 relief funding with clarity and support, I’ve always believed in keeping residents and key stakeholders informed and involved. In my current position as Assistant Town Administrator/Finance Director in Boxford, I remain committed to transparency by making sure residents’ concerns are addressed promptly and ensuring they have clear, direct access to the information and services they need. This applies to my work creating the Town’s multi-million-dollar budget and negotiating key contracts with service providers and unions; I always make sure that the financial impact of my work is presented to the community in a clear and understandable manner, so that residents can provide informed feedback on the direction that they’d like to see the community go. This approach is what I will bring to the mayor’s office, fostering a government that is open, accountable, and responsive to all.

Invest in Our Infrastructure for a Stronger Future
Beverly is fortunate to have beautiful parks, beaches, a vibrant downtown, unique small businesses, two colleges, and four MBTA Commuter Rail stations. However, our municipal infrastructure—especially roads and sidewalks—requires immediate attention. These essential assets are the backbone of our city, ensuring safe and accessible travel by car, bike, or on foot. To strengthen our future, I will launch a comprehensive, multi-year plan to upgrade our roads and sidewalks, with transparent scheduling and regular updates for residents. I will also prioritize coastal resilience through improved stormwater management and flood mitigation, and develop a long-term capital plan to ensure that our infrastructure is sustainable, cost-effective, and capable of supporting the city's growth and environmental goals.

Strengthen Beverly Public Schools
I am deeply committed to the success and improvement of Beverly Public Schools, a priority close to my heart. As a public school graduate myself, and with my wife being a school administrator who previously taught third grade for six years, I understand firsthand the importance of strong schools. As Mayor, I will prioritize fostering collaboration between the mayor’s office, educators, school administrators, parents, and the broader community to address the challenges facing our schools — an area that has been overlooked under the current administration. I will ensure that Beverly’s dedicated teachers and paraprofessionals feel respected, valued, and heard.
The current Mayor’s approach to Beverly Public Schools has largely been focused on preserving the status quo, without thoroughly addressing the complexities of school operations that could lead to meaningful improvements in student outcomes. This reactive approach left the district unprepared during a time of crisis, ultimately to the detriment of our students. Beverly needs new leadership — one that is willing to investigate more thoroughly the specific areas where improvements are most needed and make the tough decisions necessary to improve student outcomes within our financial means.
As your mayor, I will take a different approach. I will work closely with the School Committee and Superintendent to identify operational efficiencies and ensure that resources are allocated to areas of greatest need. Most importantly, I will be directly involved in contract negotiations from the start, working to prevent future strikes through open dialogue and constructive problem-solving, not last-minute crisis management. I will also advocate tirelessly for increased resources from state leaders, particularly for special education and student support services.
Beverly Public Schools deserve proactive leadership. In a time of uncertainty, my administration’s top priority will be to create a long-term roadmap for improving student outcomes while ensuring our schools are on solid financial footing.

Control Property Tax Increases with Smart Financial Management
As Mayor, I will bring a data-driven, fiscally responsible approach to City Hall—one that controls property tax increases while maintaining high-quality services. With rising costs and limited state aid, we need long-term financial planning, not short-term fixes. Unlike the current administration—which has proposed poorly planned capital proposals, like the library HVAC project that grew from $4 million to $18 million before being rejected by the City Council—I will put an end to wasteful spending and mismanagement.
Instead, I’ll use my financial expertise to secure state and federal grants, implement cost-effective solutions, and ensure taxpayer dollars are spent wisely. My track record proves it: I led the effort to double property tax exemptions for seniors and veterans in Beverly, preserved Boxford’s AAA bond rating, and saved residents in Boxford $2 million through a renegotiated trash contract. As Mayor, I will deliver that same smart, transparent financial leadership—helping Beverly navigate economic uncertainty without overburdening residents.

Preserve Beverly's Unique Character and Quality of Life
Beverly’s historic charm must coexist with affordable housing solutions. I’ll partner with private and nonprofit groups to develop the “missing middle” of Beverly’s housing stock: small multi-family units, enabling teachers, police officers, firefighters, and young families to live here. My record of supporting affordability and smart growth reflects a commitment to keeping Beverly livable for all generations.
Strengthening public safety with well-equipped Police and Fire Departments is also critical to maintaining Beverly’s high quality of life. My experience negotiating public safety contracts in Boxford has prepared me to ensure our first responders have the tools and support they need to keep our community safe.
Maintaining Beverly’s quality of life also means ensuring that everyone feels a sense of belonging and confidence that they and their families can thrive here. I’ll continue working to improve communication across language barriers, support community events that bring people together, and make sure our public spaces are accessible and welcoming to all. Beverly is a stronger city when every resident feels connected and included.
